IPR Protection

Policies

We unconditionally guarantee the security of your intellectual property. We understand that security is a major concern and take all the precautions to ensure the confidence, security and integrity of the information. All the electronic data being exchanged is encrypted and all communications are relayed through a secure VPN connection.

We are dedicated to improving the IPR protection, promoting members’ awareness of IPR, and properly and effectively protecting client’s IPRs because we know that it will be good for comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development of USI.

Practices

  • Security Manual Book- A security manual is provided for each member of USI to improve the awareness of information protection, including IPR, personal information, client’s confidential information, project information, financial information, personnel information, etc.
  • Member Training - Awareness training program for our members is frequently conducted to ensure that they are up-to-date on our IPR protection policies and practices.
  • Physical Isolation - We have ensured that our facilities and networks are segregated and appropriate physical protection is given as applicable. Sensitive data is stored and secured under security.
  • Access Control - Members working on a particular project are only allowed to access to the designated work/project areas.
  • Digital Security - Access to project specific information and environment is limited to only those employees authorized to be part of the program.
  • Virus Prevention - This exists at two ways:
    Employ effective Anti-virus program
Designate specific person to update virus definition periodically.
  • Network Connectivity - We have safe and secure network connections for remote logins, cross-facility communications and USI-client connectivity. Materials entrusted by clients are not to be taken outside developing room. All developing tools or materials will be treated according to client’s demands.
  • Building Security - All visitors enter USI offices via intelligent card, every visit is recorded. Further, personal media like CDR or hard disk are forbidden.
  • Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) - These exist at three levels to protect your company’s confidential information:
Between USI and each employee (obligation)
Between USI and your organization (option)
Between the USI engineers assigned to your project and your organization (option)

The above are some of the comprehensive policy-level and practice-level protection measures that we undertake to ensure the safety of our client’s IPRs. However, we are flexible in our approach and are open to discussing and undertaking additional measures depending upon your specific requirements.
